Scalable system provides sewage treatment to African mining community
Brockville, ON – January 30, 2017: newterra, a leader in modular water, wastewater and groundwater treatment solutions, has had one of its large, remote installations profiled in EverythingAboutWater’s global Case Study Special Edition.
The newterra system featured in the publication highlights a 390,000 GPM membrane bioreactor (MBR) sewage treatment plant that is located in a remote part of Zambia. The system serves a mining camp and the surrounding community – a population of approximately 8,000 people. newterra provided a more cost-effective and space efficient solution to other technologies that were considered as part of the mine expansion project.
