Jeff's 21st Birthday Party

These pictures were taken at my son's 21st birthday party. He and his friends spent lots of time and money creating a monster water slide in the back of the hill in our back pasture. It turned out to be a wonderful party site, too. A long dusty walk from parking, but otherwise really great. Here are some random pictures - I have a couple great videos,, but they don't seem to want to transfer onto this computer, so I'll add them when I figure that part out.

The view from the creek at the bottom of the hill
This is also the back property line of our 8.5 acres.
A view of the handbuilt canopy for the food
They raised, slaughtered and pit barbecued a whole pig!
They even stuffed it with apples, basil and rosemary they grew here!
A chain of people going down the slide together
This was fun, but only done a couple times,
mostly it was one at a time!
My son is the tall one on the left
Didn't they have a nice view from back there?
The vineyard is next door, not ours.
They lined their slide with recycled carpet,
so they made a walkway back to the top of old carpet, too.
Lounging in the top pond and also at the food canopy beyond.
View from the top pond down the slide. Look - even a porta-potty!
The intrepid gardeners and their watermelons they havested for the party The garden in the beginning
There are wildflowers planed at the bottom of the sunflowers
and all the joggers and dog walkers stop to appreciate them.
I'd guess the sunflowers are 8 feet tall!
For those who don't know - Catie found me a Kitten in the parking lot at work that I've been bottle raising, and also our beloved Daisy dog died suddenly of total liver failure just recently. Kitty is obvious (her name is Puka) and Daisy is the fluffy white one. The Rottweilier who babysits is Rufus - 130 pounds of love.
